Other happenings!

The day after Thanksgiving my mom and I woke up to do some shopping. We weren't the really crazy people and I think it might be the last year we do it, unless there is something really on sale the girls want. Then my parents and Luke went to pick up my mom's new horse. Her name is Ruby. We went to watch. Now we are just anxious to get to Grandma and Grandpa's to ride her!
On Sunday it snowed! We woke up to a partially white world. The girls were so excited. Especially Campbell. After church she convinced Bill to go and play with her. It didn't take long for James to want to join them.
Campbell learned how to make snowballs and got pretty good at throwing them. She even got some down the back of Bill's coat!
This is one way the girls play together. It is called "helping", "train", and "hugging". They could walk around like this for hours. Well, if they didn't end up laughing so much they fall over.
Bill and James built the first snowman of the year. This is tradition. Isn't it so cute!It lasted until the morning. Then Bill had to back out of the driveway to get to work and he spilled: ( Campbell helped me make an advent candy calendar. It was a fun project and the bribe of getting a candy helps them eat their dinner!

Snow, Yea! Looks like lots of fun for the girls. Sorry about Mr. Snowman. I like it when it snows here but am glad it lasts only a few hours. Bob's been watching the trains in Rochelle and has noticed the snow.

Wow, what fun y'all are going to have riding the horse. I just can't see Bill riding though. Watch out when you dismount for the first time, you'll be walking bow legged and walking strangely. Collette said that Darwin is not a cowboy. I think he said that he and horses are not meant for each other.

You really don't know what you're missing if you've never had a horse. Have fun!!
