We were driving as a family through some morning traffic and noticed a big jacked up truck driving rather erratically in the rear view. She came up on us pretty quickly and Bill let her pass. When the truck passed by us we noticed the driver was female and had a glazed look in her eye. The driver in front of her could not get out of her way because of the traffic so she decided to drive up really close to them on the left shoulder. Finally she was able to get around some of the traffic, causing some to slam on their brakes to not hit her and she pulled quickly in front of a milk tanker. I said to Bill that she is going to cause an accident. Sure enough soon everyone was on their brakes and the milk tanker turned on it's hazards. Luckily she had run into a guard rail and no other cars were involved. It totaled the whole front end. You couldn't even see one of the front tires because the car was so bent up. I was a little jittery for a while knowing how horribly that situation could have ended up. I think people who do drugs just shouldn't drive. Or people who drink either. Now on to more cheerful things.
Things I love about a quaint little town:
- At the Walmart there is a fountain drink area and it is honor system. There is a drop box to pay for your drinks.
- No need to send out Wedding Invitations. Just have it published in the paper and tell your family the date and time.
There will be more of these little
tid bits in the future, as we
embrace our new life.
