Interesting new pets.

this little frog is actually tiny. You can't tell in this picture. But it is. Taite loved playing with them. We didn't actually bring any home.

Here is Campbell catching tadpoles. We have three of them at home to watch them transform. So far one of them has back legs. James just updated me that the one with legs now has different eyes.

This tree frog was in a plant pot outside our kitchen window. He was making lots of noise when it was raining. Campbell and Taite had fun playing with him.

We didn't bring him inside either. The grown frogs can stay outside!

We went on a nature hike to the Caves and found these snails (the snail is sticking it's head out one of the air holes in the top of the terrarium - James really hates it when they do this). They don't have snails in Minnesota so I was really excited about them. Bill thinks it is hilarious that we now have "pet" snails. We have two snails. One is Campbell's and one is Taite's. James is not so into the slimy creepy things. Campbell had a terrarium from her carnivorous plant kit (that we only grew one plant from!) that now houses our snails.

Those are going to be some of their all time favorite childhood memories. Catching critters are still some of my all time favorite adult memories.

I am completely grossed out! Your girls are lucky they don't have me for a mom.
